In November, I was invited by Dr. Julia Wray to begin seeing patients out of her Cornerstone Chiropractic Family Wellness Center in Old Town, Alexandria. Appreciating Dr. Wray’s holistic approach to healthcare, and her lifelong support of Homeopathy, I agreed!
About Dr. Wray
Dr. Wray has over 30 years of experience in private practice and takes a unique approach to chiropractic care. She focuses on building relationships with her patients and providing holistic treatment to help people move from chronic pain to wellness!
Dr. Wray founded Cornerstone Chiropractic in 1992 to serve the Washington, DC Metro area. While being a sole practitioner, she collaborates with other health care professionals and ensures that her patients receive the best care possible.
Activator Method and Holistic Healing
Dr. Wray utilizes the Activator Method in her adjustments, a low-force, instrument-based form of chiropractic adjustment which does not require the twisting and torquing positions typically used with traditional manual adjustments.
Dr. Wray’s care goes beyond chiropractic adjustments and myotherapy to incorporate postural instruction, guidance with therapeutic home exercise, and nutritional counseling based on the latest evidence-based functional medicine techniques.
While many chiropractic appointments span as little as 3-to-5 minutes, Dr. Wray spends an hour or more with new patients, and an average of 30 minutes per appointment with returning patients. This gives her time to thoroughly discuss, investigate, and precisely identify each patient’s unique set of misalignments.
Massage Therapy at Cornerstone
In addition to her chiropractic services, Dr. Wray also hosts several massage therapists at Cornerstone Chiropractic Family Wellness Center (and now Homeopathy too!).
Massage therapists Donna Hauprich, Sandra Levy, and Carmen Moll each have significant experience in healing people with a variety of health conditions. Their services can be booked through Dr. Wray’s website.
